6 × 3m Tasman Pergola in Junction Village

Junction Village, Victoria
Tasman Freestanding Pergola · 6 × 3m

Nicole’s patio runs along the back of the house, with the lawn starting straight after the paved area. A 6 × 3m Tasman fits this space particularly well.

The 6m span covers most of the patio outside the main sliding doors, while the 3m depth keeps the pergola within the paved area. It gives the patio proper overhead cover without pushing the structure further into the backyard.

We used the freestanding Tasman here, so the pergola has its own four-post structure even though it sits very close to the house. That works neatly with the existing roofline and doors.

The motorised louvres can be opened when more light is wanted and closed for cover. Drainage is built into the frame and posts. The dark finish also ties in well with the home’s existing window and door frames.

It’s a fairly simple setup, but the size and position make a big difference here. The pergola feels like it belongs with the patio rather than something added afterwards.
