Generally all products at Lúxi have at least a 12 month warranty. You can check the warranty information of each item in the product description. Contact us within the warranty period if you encounter any problems associated with the product.

Luxi Living will replace your product if it is found to be “dead on arrival” (DOA) at our cost.

If you change your mind after the payment is confirmed, we will issue a store credit (lessany shipping and handling fees) and the item can be returned to us at your cost. Items must be returned in "as new" condition with all packaging and accessories (including manuals).

If your item is faulty, please contact us within the warrant period and we will assess your claim on a case-by-case basis and offer a replacement, full refund or store credit.

Reclaimed Teak

Teak is a premium hardwood renowned for its durability, natural beauty, and resistance to the elements, making it an excellent choice for furniture. Proper care and maintenance will ensure your reclaimed teak pieces remain in optimal condition for years to come.​

Characteristics of Reclaimed Teak:

· Environmental and Aesthetic Appeal: Reclaimed teak is favoured for its eco-friendly nature and rustic, aged appearance, which naturally weathers to a silvery-grey patina over time.​

· Structural Features: Your reclaimed teak furniture is crafted from smaller wood segments laminated together. During the weathering process, joints and inserts may expand or contract, and inserts might slightly rise. You can glue the inserts back down with an Epoxy glue. This natural characteristic adds to the furniture's rustic charm.​

Cleaning:

· Steps: 

o Dilute 'Simple Green' cleaner according to the manufacturer's instructions.​

o Using a soft, non-abrasive scrub pad, gently clean the furniture surface, following the direction of the wood grain.​

o After cleaning, rinse the furniture thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue.​

o Allow the furniture to air dry completely before use.​

Sealing:

· Purpose: To maintain teak's original golden colour and protect against moisture and UV rays, applying a teak sealer is recommended.​

· Steps:

o Seal your furniture promptly after purchase using Semco Sealant (clear tone).​

o Depending on exposure, reapply the sealant every 6 to 12 months to ensure continuous protection.​

o Semco Sealant can be purchased at reputable marine supply stores.​

Weathering:

· Natural Process: Over time, untreated teak will develop a silver-grey patina. This natural aging process does not compromise the wood's durability but adds to its unique character.​

· Maintenance Suggestion: If you appreciate this naturally weathered look, minimal maintenance is required.​

Storage and Protection:

· Recommendations: 

o During harsh weather conditions or extended periods of non-use, consider using protective covers or storing the furniture indoors to prolong its lifespan.​

o Ensure the storage environment is well-ventilated to prevent moisture buildup and potential damage.​
